Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and East Bay Driving School, LLC #E0348 ("East Bay Driving School," "we," "us"), operator of On Deck Driving. By creating an account or purchasing the course, you agree to them. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review and accept these terms with you.

1. The service

East Bay Driving School, LLC #E0348 provides On Deck Driving, an online driver education course aligned to the California DMV OL 236 curriculum, including lessons, quizzes, practice questions, and interactive simulations. On completion of all required lessons, we mail the official DL 400C Certificate of Completion.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. The certificate is issued in the legal name you provide, so please ensure it is correct before requesting it.

3. Payment

Full access is a one-time $29 payment (no subscription), payable by card (Stripe) or cryptocurrency (Coinbase Commerce). Taxes may apply. Pricing may change for new purchases, but your completed purchase is honored.

4. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In short: a full refund is available within 7 days of purchase if you have not yet requested your certificate.

5. Acceptable use

  • Don't share, resell, or redistribute course content or your account.
  • Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
  • Complete the coursework yourself — certificates reflect your own completion.

6. Certificate & DMV disclaimer

We deliver the DMV-approved OL 236 curriculum and mail the DL 400C certificate upon completion. We are not the California DMV and cannot guarantee DMV outcomes (such as passing the knowledge test or permit issuance), which are controlled by the DMV. Always verify current requirements at dmv.ca.gov.

7. Intellectual property

Course content and software are owned by OnDeckDriving or its licensors and are provided for your personal, non-commercial educational use only.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OnDeckDriving's total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
