On a red light a right turn is allowed only after you make a complete stop behind the limit line and yield to every pedestrian in the crosswalk and all cross traffic — and never if a 'No Turn on Red' sign is posted.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Rolling the turn without a complete stop first.
- Turning while a pedestrian is still in the crosswalk.
- Pulling out in front of cross traffic that has the green.
