💡 Pro tip

Only pass when you can see far enough ahead to pull out, get fully around the car, AND return — all before any oncoming traffic arrives. If you have to ask whether the gap is big enough, it isn’t. Wait.

Common mistakes to avoid

Pulling into the oncoming lane before it's clear enough to pass and return safely.
Trying to pass near a curve or hill, where you can't see far enough ahead.
Cutting back in too soon — wait until you can see the passed car in your mirror.
