Key Things to Remember
- Under 18: no driving 11 PM–5 AM and no passengers under 20 for the first 12 months — except with a parent/guardian/25+ driver, or with a signed note for medical, school, work, or immediate-family necessity.
- Always carry your license, registration, and proof of insurance.
- California's minimum liability has been 30/60/15 since 2025.
- A stop means 0 mph; the basic speed law means never faster than is safe.
